Problem: Kenworth T609 Prime Mover, Air Leak
This client brought in their Kenworth T609 prime mover with an air leak at the rear of the gearbox, along with a leaking brake booster on the right-hand side of the #2 drive axle. While carrying out diagnostics, we also identified an ABS/traction control fault. Using our diagnostic equipment, we found zero wheel speed reading from the left-hand rear wheel speed sensor, allowing us to quickly narrow down the cause. Upon inspection, we identified a damaged electrical connector at the left-hand rear wheel speed sensor. The damage had allowed moisture and debris to enter the connector resulting in the sensor short circuiting and creating the original fault.
Repairs: The client was informed of the problems, and a full repair has been scheduled, to ensure the issue is properly rectified. Air system, braking and ABS faults are critical for safety and performance so it’s essential they’re diagnosed and repaired correctly the first time. Another thorough fault diagnosis completed to keep this truck operating safely and reliably.
Outcome: If you’re experiencing warning lights, air leaks, or braking concerns get in touch as early diagnosis can prevent bigger problems down the track.
Problem: Broken Down John Deere 6330 Tractor
We travelled to a remote outstation on Cape York to inspect and repair a John Deere 6330 tractor fitted with a CL390X boom/bucket attachment and rear slashing deck. This machine plays a critical role in remote fence clearing and control burning operations for Queensland Parks & Wildlife.
Repairs: Our inspection found the machine urgently required a full service along with multiple repairs including damaged hydraulic hoses, electrical issues, missing components and hydraulic leaks.
Outcome: All parts were quickly sourced and repairs were completed on site, getting the machine safely back to work with minimal downtime. If you can’t come to us — we will come to you.
