Before you take on the corrugations, creek crossings and long remote stretches, make sure your diesel 4WD, tow vehicle or touring setup is ready for the road ahead. We carry out practical pre-trip inspections from our Cairns workshop, then explain the findings in plain English so you know what is ready, what needs attention and what to keep an eye on.

What we check before you go

Our inspection focuses on the systems most likely to cause trouble away from town: cooling, batteries and charging, brakes, steering and suspension, tyres and spare-wheel readiness, wheel bearings, driveline components and visible underbody damage. Where relevant, we also look at diesel fault-code observations, fuel, turbo and intake systems. If you are towing, let us know when you book so we can discuss the trailer and connection components that matter too.
